The new clamp system seemed to leak easily.

I bought new hoses and put regular hose clamps on.

With all 3 screws out pull and remove the piece.
Most guys i know just cut the old hose off including the clamp.

Make sure your problem is not the heater core leaking at the connections because of corrosion.

Remove the 13 screws.
Disconnect the heater core ground cable strap that attaches to the interior firewall with a single bolt.

Remove the two screws.
Detach the interior heater core intake and return hoses from the core nipples by releasing the squeeze clamps using channel lock pliers.
Use a screwdriver to pry off these 2 clips on the heater core pipes.
Remove the heater core bracket.
